Hello, dear readers. Our fearless publisher, Paul Bellow, has asked me to write a post regarding our press release that went out today. We announced the hiring of 4 new writers, and sent out the press release with (at least) two typos! Was it intentional? To show that modern journalists just shovel a lot of content onto the internet? Perhaps!
In all seriousness, I just wanted to point out that we KNOW about the two errors. More importantly, we’re happy to have Kathy Stone, Ezra O’Henry, Heidi Jiang, and Esther Williams on the Hoosier Chapter Books team. We’re growing quickly, and I can’t wait to see what 2023 brings for us. Our mission to promote reading LITERACY in children is important.
With that in mind, I’d like to thank you for browsing our website and taking interest in us. As a bunch of ex-journalists trying to make a living in an increasingly mechanized and automated world, it’s nice to know that hundreds of people per day are visiting this website and reading our words. Truly, it means a lot. I like to joke frequently (it’s the only way to stay sane in today’s world), but I sincerely want to thank you.
Readers like you are why we’re trying to make a go of this after so many years. Tired and fed up with the current publishing system, we’re taking matters into our own hands and publishing books that we love. I’ve always been a big fan of small press publishing, and I’m grateful to have a part to play in this great industry. Thank you all. I’ll be writing again soon!
Please accept this photo of a sad puppy begging forgiveness in the meantime…
